Mike brought us his 1984 FXR wanting a six speed tranny put in it. After talking to 3 other fab shops he was told it could not be done. We have designed a tranny cradle that utilizes the original rubber mount design for the motor and integrates into the swing arm just as the stock tranny did. We are installing an Ultima six speed transmission with a custom made open belt primary. The modifications don’t stop there! We have fabricated a 3” tunnel into a King Sportster tank, upgraded wheels, with a 150 out back and a 130 up front. Custom fenders sissy bar, remote oil filter, wide ass blacked out frontend, 7” headlight and a custom oil bag were also done. The frame has been chopped in the back and custom shock mounts have been welded in. Stay tuned for more updates as we progress with Mike’s FXR appropriately named “The Simple Truth”.
